IOPSA Golf Day 2014 

Leaking news – it’s our annual IOPSA golf challenge 2014 which promises to be another hot event to be held on 04 November at the Kyalami Country Club. We look forward to a brilliant day with a full field of 144 golfers made up of plumbers, company directors, suppliers, manufacturers, and wholesalers, all allied with the plumbing industry. Occupational health & safety not an option
 

In a report made available by the Department of Labour, over the past four years a total of R260 million has been paid out, year on year, on Occupational Health and Safety claims in the iron and steel industry.

The iron and steel industry accounts for the highest number of claims at just over 22% of total incidents. This is only the direct cost, if indirect costs are added then this amount escalates even more. Indirect costs include training of new people, damage to equipment or a plant, loss of production, etc. Read more
