New campus marks major milestone in scaling artisan education and expanding training programmes.

BluLever Education, a South African training academy dedicated to empowering artisans with skills for the future, is launching its new campus in Braamfontein, Johannesburg, on Friday, September 27.
The new campus, which spans 2,000 square metres—more than three times the size of the previous 600-square-metre facility—represents a significant expansion in BluLever’s capacity to train the next generation of skilled artisans and a direct response to industry demand.
“We are thrilled to open our new campus, a space that reflects our growth and our commitment to providing high-quality, demand-led artisan training for young people,” said Adam Collier, Co-founder and Co-CEO of BluLever Education. “This expansion allows us to extend our programmes beyond plumbing to include electrical and automotive mechanics, broadening the opportunities available to our apprentices and responding directly to industry needs.”
Founded in 2019, BluLever Education welcomed its first cohort of plumbing apprentices in 2021. Since then, the company has focused on demand-led training—ensuring that apprenticeships are available only when there is a clear pathway to employment. Today, BluLever has enrolled over 400 apprentices across its three artisan training programmes, plumbing, electrical and – newly launched – automotive mechanics. With this new campus, the company is poised to accommodate even more young artisans, with the first graduates from the current intake set to complete their training in November.
The expansion of BluLever’s facilities is more than just physical growth; it is a testament to the company’s dedication to scaling its impact and providing young South Africans with the skills needed to succeed in the workforce. As BluLever continues to grow, it remains focused on its mission to empower artisans with the skills for the future, ensuring that every graduate is equipped not only with technical skills but also with the soft skills necessary to thrive in their careers.
The launch of the new campus will be celebrated with a Campus Launch Expo and Artisan Gathering on September 27. The event will kick off at 10:00 with the Campus Launch Expo, offering guests an in-depth look at BluLever’s hands-on approach to artisan training. The expo will feature various stations where attendees can observe practical skills demonstrations, interactive activities, and class sessions showcasing the apprentice journey at BluLever.
Following the expo, an Artisan Gathering will take place from 12:00 to 14:00, bringing together stakeholders, employers, and artisans to celebrate the BluLever community’s achievements. The gathering will include a panel discussion on the impact of the green economy for artisans, employer awards, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially launch the new campus.
