“We were very fortunate to run the first pilot with certain insurance companies introducing Ariston products to their clients,” says Jacques. “Their commitment and friendly staff make us feel important – they make sure our suppliers have enough stock so that we can deliver a prompt service to our insurance companies and clients.”
The myAriston rewards programme has been a wonderful bonus for Jacques. “My wife and I have been married for 35 years and for the last 18 years we have promised each other a date night every Thursday,” he says. “We use our rewards card for a lovely dinner, sometimes a movie or for a nice show at The Artscape.”
Jacques is passionate about bringing excellent service to his clients, particularly in providing preventative measures when it comes to geysers. “When a hot water cylinder bursts it can cause damage to ceilings, carpets or cupboards, inconveniencing clients and costing insurance companies lots of money to fix,” he says. He also believes that bringing AI into the world of geysers would be a giant step into the future as this could be used to shut off electricity or incoming water supply to the geyser or notify the homeowner of any issues via a smart device. And, the best part of his job? “To love, support and encourage my staff to be the best that they can be, no matter what life throws at you,” he says. “Tomorrow is another day.”
