More often, we are seeing clients wanting to make their home bathrooms their sanctuary. Local manufacturer DADOquartz brings quality bathroom solutions to homeowners to transform their bathrooms with spa vibes.

For a long time, baths have been viewed as practical objects. Recently, however, homeowners are moving beyond the utilitarian bathroom and towards their own personal spa experience at home. This movement from purely functional to a haven of relaxation and beauty is punctuated by neutral colours, plants, natural materials and a calm atmosphere touched with a note of luxury. This has moved the modest bathtub from being an object for washing to a shrine of peace, romance, tranquility and an opportunity to completely unwind.
It’s a trend that is increasingly being embraced by South Africans as they too appreciate the benefits of having a hotel spa-like getaway within their own homes. Naturally, a movement like this begs for exquisitely crafted, beautiful bathtubs, and that is where DADOquartz comes in.
What started as a specialist décor tile manufacturer all the way back in the nineties is now a South African company that supplies quality, locally produced baths and sanitaryware not just for clients here, but across the globe. The company has their bathtubs in hotels such as Caesars Palace Bluewaters in Dubai, Kudadoo in the Maldives, Royal Chundu in Zambia and Victoria Falls River Lodge in Zimbabwe.
The baths have a lifetime warranty. The baths are repairable. They are available in a variety of styles and sizes. They secured the exclusive distribution rights for JEE-O in 2009. In 2021 DADO started making acrylic baths when they saw the need for better constructed acrylic baths and it gave them a larger basket of offerings for customers.
It all started when a doctor asked the company for a real stone bathtub. That bathtub was painstakingly carved out of stone, but never finished. Today it sits outside the gates of the factory as a testament to the long journey that DADO has come through.
The baths have an integrated overflow and have the same flow rate as a 40mm pipe. The baths also have plumbers gaps in order to make access easier.

These items are manufactured in Watloo, Gauteng, using high quality, durable material. The baths are available in either matt or polished finish – and can even be decorated with a trendy art piece if that’s what your client is looking for or in the colour of your choice.
In fact, DADO is involved in creating “art with purpose”, which includes auctioning a one of a kind bathtub painted by South African Artist Azael Langa. This exclusive piece was unveiled at X-quisite Floors and Bathrooms in Wendywood, Johannesburg on 19 March 2025.
The baths and basins are also UV stable, repairable and super easy to clean. Bathtubs are available as free standing, skirted or built in. What’s more, the baths and basins are solid throughout with no gelcoat paint finish making them anti-bacterial and extremely durable. Not just an aesthetic choice for your home, but one that reflects safety and hygiene.
Bathtubs and bathroom ware are no longer simply practical items. They are instruments of relaxation, soothing beauty to the eye and a personal sanctuary – and that is something that DADO understands unequivocally.
