Xstream Solar Hot Water Cylinders (Pty) Ltd, a manufacturer of the Xstream range of hot water storage tanks based in Paarl, Western Cape, is pleased to announce recent changes in its shareholding and ownership structure. The company is recognised for producing high-quality, corrosion-resistant products that do not suffer from galvanic reactions. Its reputation has been built on reliability and durability, making it a preferred choice in the competitive geyser industry across South Africa’s western and southern coastlines. Additionally, Xstream exports regularly to regions such as St. Helena Island, Seychelles and Mauritius, where high levels of corrosion are common, demonstrating the robustness of their products in challenging environments.
Founded by Dawie Thirion in 2003, the company launched its first geyser in July 2003 after obtaining the necessary SABS permit. Nearly 23 years later, a remarkable 25% of the original staff remains employed, including Leezhaane Whitten. Leezhaane joined Xstream at its inception, and grew to become a director in 2008. Her extensive knowledge of the company’s systems, manufacturing processes, and external collaborations – such as with the NRCS, SABS, retail groups, and installers –has been instrumental to the company’s success.
It is a significant milestone for Xstream to confirm that Leezhaane, following successful negotiations, has acquired a shareholding in the company. Her involvement underscores her dedication and loyalty, which have greatly contributed to the company’s growth and stability over the years.
