IOPSA held a plumbers’ evening on 8 May. The event was sponsored by Advanced Valves.

The plumbers’ evening was held at the Crown Gardens Recreation Centre with a record attendance of 179 people who gathered to take part in the event.
Richard Wiederhold gave a presentation on Advanced Valves while Patrick Gordon provided some in depth discussion on SANS 10252-1, specifically in relation to materials, pipes and components as well as a guideline on how to identify compliant copper pipes.
Steve van Zyl provided information on IOPSA’s new job management system called Tap In and encouraged plumbers to join.
The event was concluded with a lucky draw and several people went home with some fantastic plumbing equipment and three individuals won a year’s membership with IOPSA.
