Plumbing’s Travelling Exhibitions (PTE) has put together their programme for 2025 – and it promises to be exciting.

PTE enjoyed a busy year last year, with its signature orange and yellow tents popping up across various venues in South Africa. As the PTE crew gets ready for 2025, there are many more places to visit and more plumbers to reach with the latest technology, innovations, products and services.

Visitors register as they arrive.
This year, for the first time, PTE is taking its show to the Garden Route with dates in Knysna and George in August. Also a first, the show will be landing in Kathu, Northern Cape.
“We’ve always strived to bring PTE to where the plumber is,” says PTE organiser, Sean Macnamara. “Often, plumbers who are not located in urban hubs miss out on what’s new and exciting in the industry. We want to inform and educate plumbers across the country and give suppliers and manufacturers the opportunity to reach their target audience directly.”
As plumbers, you know that time is money and it’s so easy to get busy with building your client base that you neglect broadening your knowledge and skills – and networking. While it may seem like you are giving up a few hours of work, you are in fact adding to and investing in the education of yourselves and your teams, getting an opportunity to actually handle new technologies that serve your industry and get to chat to suppliers, manufacturers and service providers directly. You can ask them your questions, discuss your ideas and get feedback on troubleshooting.
“You can’t put a price on upskilling and education,” says Macnamara. “Part of the motive behind these shows is to give the plumber a chance to not only learn about but experience what is new in the industry, and then incorporate that into their own businesses.”
- Attendees learn as they browse.
- Exhibitors get to meet target audience directly.
On the other hand, the shows provide exhibitors a platform to communicate directly with plumbers and artisans in related fields, as well as giving them a chance to do live demonstrations of their products. In addition to learning more about various technical aspects of their business, plumbers also get the chance to acquire general business advice via the various educational workshops that take place at the shows.
“Now is the best time for exhibitors to book their spots,” says Macnamara, “There are several opportunities throughout this year to get close to the industry you serve.”
Visitors get to attend these expos for free and can earn CPD points as well.
