The Inclusive Plumber’s Association (IPA) is set to host their Family Fun Day this Saturday, 21 March 2026.
So, who is the IPA?
The IPA was founded in 2019, with a mission to unify the trade by returning the industry’s future to the hands of the plumbers themselves, ensuring that those on the ground are the ones driving the standards and direction of the profession.
Built on a ‘plumber-first’ philosophy, they maintain open-door channels that promote genuine dialogue between the boots on the ground and the industry at large. “For us, transparency isn’t just a buzzword – it’s our operating system,” says IPA.
With a footprint spread far and wide all over South Africa, the association’s ethos is to provide a seat at the table for each and every one of its members, serving as a megaphone for their concerns and triumphs. “Beyond promoting high ethical standards and technical excellence, we offer the assurance that every plumber’s voice is heard.”
The Family Fun Day
The inaugural Family Day is set to be hosted on Saturday, 21 March 2026, and IPA shares their excitement about setting a new tradition for the plumbing community in South Africa.
“We want to bridge the gap between ‘work’ and ‘life’. Our goal is to bring the industry together in a way that celebrates the families behind the plumbers. It’s about making sure our support systems – our spouses and children – feel as valued and appreciated as the technicians themselves.”
As for the plumbers themselves, IPA wants “every attendee to walk away feeling seen and celebrated. Beyond the fun, we hope they build ‘partnerships in the pathways’ – forging new professional connections and friendships that strengthen their business and their morale.”
